About SpinAndDecide

SpinAndDecide makes small decisions easier with clear, editable browser tools. Our starting point is simple: a random choice is useful when you can see the options, understand the rules and read the result. The site is designed for everyday shortlists, casual games, classroom prompts and informal group activities.

What we build

Our tools use a shared wheel engine with purpose-specific presets. A name picker, a meal shortlist and a die roll begin with different entries and need different instructions. The team picker allocates a complete shuffled roster, while number ranges and mystery labels support their own tasks. We keep the entries editable so a preset is a useful starting point rather than a rigid list.

How we describe fairness

Equal mode gives each entry one ticket. Weighted mode makes different chances explicit. Selection uses the browser’s Web Crypto API with rejection sampling. The explanation on our randomness guide describes the method and its limits; we do not claim independent certification or a tamper-evident audit trail.

Privacy and practical design

Wheel entries are processed in the browser. Optional saves use localStorage, and share links encode the configuration in the URL fragment. A link can expose its entries to anyone receiving it. Our privacy policy explains the distinction between local tool data, ordinary website requests and information you choose to email us.

Editorial approach

We explain how each preset actually works, including duplicates, winner removal and unsupported tasks. Guides are written around practical examples rather than invented testing results or endorsements. We update instructions when functionality changes. If you spot an unclear explanation, a broken control or an accessibility problem, contact us with the page address and a brief description.

Contact and corrections

Email [email protected] for product questions, corrections and accessibility feedback. Include your browser and device when reporting a tool problem, but remove private entries from screenshots or examples. We welcome concise reports that help us reproduce an issue.
