Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SpinAndDecide handles information when you browse spinanddecide.com, use a wheel, save a configuration or contact us. Effective date: November 4, 2026. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions. The tool does not require a visitor account. Do not put sensitive information in wheel labels or share links.

Wheel entries and results

The wheel selection code processes entries and results in your browser and does not upload that list to our server. The current result history is held in page memory and is lost when the page is reloaded. This statement concerns the tool’s entry-processing code; ordinary website requests still reach the hosting infrastructure.

Local storage

Choosing Save wheel stores a configuration in localStorage under sad-wheels-v1 in your browser profile. It includes the title, entries and supported settings. You can delete a saved copy through the tool or clear this site’s storage in your browser. Local saves do not automatically sync through a SpinAndDecide account. Shared or managed devices may allow other users to access local data.

Share links

A copied wheel link encodes its entries and settings after the URL hash character. That fragment is not part of the normal HTTP request sent to our web server, but anyone who receives or can view the complete link can inspect its contents. Messaging services, clipboard software, browser history, screenshots or extensions can also expose a link. Treat shared wheel entries as information you are choosing to disclose.

Website requests and hosting

When you load a page, the hosting infrastructure receives ordinary request information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting and security systems may log requests for operation, security and troubleshooting. We have not established a fixed public retention period for those infrastructure logs; contact us for questions about a particular request rather than assuming that no request data exists.

Email communications

If you email us, we receive the message and the contact information your email system supplies. We use that information to consider and respond to your request and to address related site issues. Email and hosting providers may process the communication on our behalf. Send only information needed for the issue, and do not email private student rosters or full giveaway records.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

At launch, this build adds no advertising or analytics scripts to the public wheel tool. WordPress may use necessary cookies for administrator sign-in and security. If Google AdSense or analytics is introduced later, this policy and the relevant consent controls must be updated before those services are activated. A privacy page alone does not enable advertising consent.

If advertising is introduced

Google and other ad vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, measure and personalize advertising, depending on the services enabled and your choices. Any future implementation must disclose the actual vendors and purposes, offer required consent choices and use the appropriate Google-certified consent management platform for relevant regions. See Google’s privacy and advertising information for its own practices; this statement does not mean ads are currently active.

Your choices and requests

You can use the tool without local saving, delete saved wheels, avoid sharing links and clear browser site data. Contact us to ask about personal information you sent by email or to request applicable access, correction or deletion. We may need enough information to identify the relevant communication and verify the request. Rights and exceptions depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Children and classroom use

The site is a general-purpose tool and does not ask children to create accounts or submit profiles. Teachers and guardians should use minimal labels, follow their school or household policies and avoid sharing identifiable student lists publicly. If you believe a child has sent us unnecessary personal information, contact us so we can review the communication.

Changes and external websites

We may revise this policy when actual site features or data practices change. The effective date identifies this version. Linked websites have their own privacy practices, and a link does not place those practices under our control. Contact us if a description here appears inconsistent with the live site.
