A little chance. A lot of possibilities.

Number Wheel 1–10

Pick a number from 1 to 10 with ten equal starting entries and a clearly displayed result. This preset includes both 1 and 10, making it useful for a numbered game prompt, a short practice list or selecting one item from ten possibilities. Leave the entries unchanged when you want the standard range. If you need to draw several different values, enable winner removal before starting; otherwise every spin is independent and a number can appear again.

Weighted mode: write each line as Option | 3. Weights are whole numbers from 1 to 1000. Move a single entry by cutting and pasting its line.

Saving the same title replaces that saved copy. Links include your exact entries; share public text only. Local saves can be cleared by your browser.

Equal chance for every entry. Repeated labels count as separate entries.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the preset entries and replace any labels that do not fit your numbers 1–10 activity.
  2. Check the displayed entry count, duplicate lines and removal setting before starting.
  3. Select Spin the wheel, wait for the reveal and read the result in the dialog.
  4. Copy the result if you need a record, then close the dialog or start another round.

Map ten numbers to ten real options

Write your ten tasks, questions or objects in a stable order before drawing. The selected number then refers to that list position. For example, a teacher with ten revision questions can number them once and use the wheel to choose the next question. Do not rearrange the external list after the result or the number no longer identifies the same item.

Use a clear convention for ten

This range is one through ten, rather than zero through nine. That distinction matters for games, classroom lists and simple probability exercises. If your source list begins at zero, edit the entries deliberately or use the general number wheel to generate 0–9. Always compare the visible first and last entries with the convention your group expects.

Compare repeated and unique selection

With removal off, each number has a one-in-ten chance on each spin. For a random order of the ten numbers, switch removal on and record every result. The first draw has ten possible entries, the second has nine and so on. That sequence is a sample without replacement, not ten independent rolls from an unchanged range.

Read small samples sensibly

If you spin ten times with removal off, you should not expect to see every number once. Repeats and missing values are ordinary features of independent draws. For a classroom demonstration, record outcomes across a larger session and discuss the difference between theoretical probability and observed frequency. A short run cannot establish that a particular number is favored.

Frequently asked questions

What is the chance of selecting 7?

With the ten original entries, equal weights and removal off, 7 has a one-in-ten chance, or 10%, on every spin. The same applies to each other number. Editing entries, repeating a value or changing weights alters those probabilities.

Does this preset include zero?

No. Its starting entries are the integers 1 through 10. To work with 0 through 9, change the range controls and apply the new range. That is also ten outcomes, but it is a different set of values.

Can I generate a random order of all ten numbers?

Yes. Enable removal, spin repeatedly and copy each result until the entries are exhausted. Each selected entry disappears after its reveal. Keep a separate record if you need the full order after leaving the page.

Why did the same number appear twice?

Removal was off, or the starting list contained duplicates. Independent draws permit repeats. If your activity requires every number at most once, check that each value appears on one line and turn removal on before the first draw.
