A little chance. A lot of possibilities.

Random Number 1–200

This random number 1–200 wheel starts with every whole number from 1 through 200, including both endpoints. There are 200 distinct entries, each with a one-in-200 chance before the list changes. It is useful for two hundred catalog examples, where you already have a clear number-to-item mapping. Select Spin the wheel to reveal a number, or edit the range controls if your task requires different bounds. The number is selected locally in your browser; no account or uploaded spreadsheet is required.

Weighted mode: write each line as Option | 3. Weights are whole numbers from 1 to 1000. Move a single entry by cutting and pasting its line.

Saving the same title replaces that saved copy. Links include your exact entries; share public text only. Local saves can be cleared by your browser.

Equal chance for every entry. Repeated labels count as separate entries.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the preset entries and replace any labels that do not fit your random number 1–200 activity.
  2. Check the displayed entry count, duplicate lines and removal setting before starting.
  3. Select Spin the wheel, wait for the reveal and read the result in the dialog.
  4. Copy the result if you need a record, then close the dialog or start another round.

A practical use for 1–200

Map two hundred public catalog examples to numbered rows. Use a result to choose one example for an informal review, checking that no row numbers are missing. The range is inclusive: 1 and 200 are both eligible. A zero-based array would use indices 0–199 instead, so translate the displayed value carefully before looking up software data.

Understand the 200-value distribution

With the untouched preset, the chance of any particular value is 1/200, approximately 0.5 percent. There are 100 even values and 100 odd values in this range. Therefore an even result has probability 100/200, while an odd result has probability 100/200. Those group probabilities count how many eligible labels belong to each group; the tool does not favor odd or even values intentionally. Several repeats can occur by chance when removal is off.

Choose independent draws or a sequence of 200

Leave Remove winner off when every draw should begin with all 200 possible labels. Turn it on when each number may appear at most once during a run. After one removal, the remaining entries each have a one-in-199 chance, rather than the original one-in-200 chance. Save the full starting list before drawing a long sequence, and use Reset preset to restore it. The recent-results display is temporary and is not an exported audit record.

Change the interval without changing the meaning

The Minimum and Maximum fields define an inclusive integer interval. Apply range replaces the entry box with every integer in that interval and turns weights off. Review the resulting count before spinning. You can also delete unavailable labels manually to make a non-consecutive set, but its size then determines the odds. Shuffling or reversing the order changes the visual arrangement, not the equal chance assigned to each remaining line.

Read the numeric label literally

The result is an integer label. It does not rank the selected item, evaluate quality or infer a preferred answer. Keep your external mapping visible when other people need to interpret the draw.

Translate one-based labels carefully

A list of two hundred examples can be indexed from one through two hundred, matching the displayed values directly. Software arrays often start at zero instead. In that case, a displayed result of one may map to array index zero, and two hundred may map to index one hundred ninety-nine. Choose and document the convention rather than shifting it after a result.

The wheel does not import a spreadsheet or retrieve the chosen record. Its job ends with the number. A stable external mapping is especially important when several people use the same list: if one person sorts the underlying rows differently, the same numeric label can identify a different item. Share the mapping version separately when that context matters.

Frequently asked questions

Is 1–200 the same as array indices 0–199?

They have the same count but different labels. Translate carefully when looking up a zero-based array.

Does the tool load a two-hundred-row spreadsheet?

No. It selects the integer. Maintain and access your external records separately.

What is the chance of a value greater than 100?

One hundred of two hundred labels qualify, giving one-half.

Can I make a zero-based range instead?

Yes. Set Minimum to 0 and Maximum to 199, apply the range and inspect the resulting count.
