A little chance. A lot of possibilities.

Random Number 1–30

This random number 1–30 wheel starts with every whole number from 1 through 30, including both endpoints. There are 30 distinct entries, each with a one-in-30 chance before the list changes. It is useful for thirty numbered samples, where you already have a clear number-to-item mapping. Select Spin the wheel to reveal a number, or edit the range controls if your task requires different bounds. The number is selected locally in your browser; no account or uploaded spreadsheet is required.

Weighted mode: write each line as Option | 3. Weights are whole numbers from 1 to 1000. Move a single entry by cutting and pasting its line.

Saving the same title replaces that saved copy. Links include your exact entries; share public text only. Local saves can be cleared by your browser.

Equal chance for every entry. Repeated labels count as separate entries.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the preset entries and replace any labels that do not fit your random number 1–30 activity.
  2. Check the displayed entry count, duplicate lines and removal setting before starting.
  3. Select Spin the wheel, wait for the reveal and read the result in the dialog.
  4. Copy the result if you need a record, then close the dialog or start another round.

A practical use for 1–30

Assign codes to thirty samples before drawing inspection practice examples. This picker is for low-stakes activities and does not certify a professional sampling protocol. Thirty labels do not mean thirty days in every month. For a calendar game, build the actual eligible dates and exclude dates that do not exist or cannot be used.

Understand the 30-value distribution

With the untouched preset, the chance of any particular value is 1/30, approximately 3.33333 percent. There are 15 even values and 15 odd values in this range. Therefore an even result has probability 15/30, while an odd result has probability 15/30. Those group probabilities count how many eligible labels belong to each group; the tool does not favor odd or even values intentionally. Several repeats can occur by chance when removal is off.

Choose independent draws or a sequence of 30

Leave Remove winner off when every draw should begin with all 30 possible labels. Turn it on when each number may appear at most once during a run. After one removal, the remaining entries each have a one-in-29 chance, rather than the original one-in-30 chance. Save the full starting list before drawing a long sequence, and use Reset preset to restore it. The recent-results display is temporary and is not an exported audit record.

Change the interval without changing the meaning

The Minimum and Maximum fields define an inclusive integer interval. Apply range replaces the entry box with every integer in that interval and turns weights off. Review the resulting count before spinning. You can also delete unavailable labels manually to make a non-consecutive set, but its size then determines the odds. Shuffling or reversing the order changes the visual arrangement, not the equal chance assigned to each remaining line.

Read the numeric label literally

The result is an integer label. It does not rank the selected item, evaluate quality or infer a preferred answer. Keep your external mapping visible when other people need to interpret the draw.

Keep sample numbering separate from calendar assumptions

A thirty-item practice set can use this preset directly when every row from one through thirty exists. Mark selected examples in your own worksheet and decide whether repeats support the exercise. Random labels alone do not establish a professional sample design, verify source data or guarantee that a subset represents a wider population.

For date-themed games, do not assume every month has thirty days. Build a list of actual eligible dates for the intended month and year instead. A selected day number is incomplete without that context. If some dates are unavailable, remove them before drawing. The wheel does not know leap years, local holidays, bookings or participant availability.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use 1–30 for every calendar month?

No. Months differ in length. Build the actual eligible date list for your chosen month and year.

Does selecting thirty records certify a sample?

No. The tool selects labels; professional sampling design and data verification require a suitable separate process.

What is the chance of a multiple of 10?

The labels 10, 20 and 30 make three out of thirty outcomes, or ten percent.

Can I select a smaller practice subset?

Yes. Enable removal and record the desired number of distinct selections.
