Random Number 1–1000
This random number 1–1000 wheel starts with every whole number from 1 through 1000, including both endpoints. There are 1000 distinct entries, each with a one-in-1000 chance before the list changes. It is useful for one thousand indexed possibilities, where you already have a clear number-to-item mapping. Select Spin the wheel to reveal a number, or edit the range controls if your task requires different bounds. The number is selected locally in your browser; no account or uploaded spreadsheet is required.
Your entries
1000 entriesEach die rolls independently. The wheel shows the first die; the result lists every die and the total. Keep the face entries unchanged.
Equal chance for every entry. Repeated labels count as separate entries.
How to use this wheel
- Review the preset entries and replace any labels that do not fit your random number 1–1000 activity.
- Check the displayed entry count, duplicate lines and removal setting before starting.
- Select Spin the wheel, wait for the reveal and read the result in the dialog.
- Copy the result if you need a record, then close the dialog or start another round.
A practical use for 1–1000
Map a thousand numbered possibilities to an external list. Keep the number-to-item mapping stable during a draw session and record the selected label before changing that list. This preset reaches the supported maximum of one thousand wheel entries. The wheel does not render a thousand readable labels; use the numerical result and complete entry list to identify the chosen value.
Understand the 1000-value distribution
With the untouched preset, the chance of any particular value is 1/1000, approximately 0.1 percent. There are 500 even values and 500 odd values in this range. Therefore an even result has probability 500/1000, while an odd result has probability 500/1000. Those group probabilities count how many eligible labels belong to each group; the tool does not favor odd or even values intentionally. Several repeats can occur by chance when removal is off.
Choose independent draws or a sequence of 1000
Leave Remove winner off when every draw should begin with all 1000 possible labels. Turn it on when each number may appear at most once during a run. After one removal, the remaining entries each have a one-in-999 chance, rather than the original one-in-1000 chance. Save the full starting list before drawing a long sequence, and use Reset preset to restore it. The recent-results display is temporary and is not an exported audit record.
Change the interval without changing the meaning
The Minimum and Maximum fields define an inclusive integer interval. Apply range replaces the entry box with every integer in that interval and turns weights off. Review the resulting count before spinning. You can also delete unavailable labels manually to make a non-consecutive set, but its size then determines the odds. Shuffling or reversing the order changes the visual arrangement, not the equal chance assigned to each remaining line.
Read the numeric label literally
The result is an integer label. It does not rank the selected item, evaluate quality or infer a preferred answer. Keep your external mapping visible when other people need to interpret the draw.
Use the maximum-size pool with a readable external map
This preset contains one thousand entries, reaching the supported wheel-entry limit. It is useful when labels identify rows in a larger public example bank. The wheel’s purpose is not to make a thousand tiny captions readable; the entry box and textual result supply the exact data. A result of four hundred fourteen, for example, means the item you mapped to that label, not a quality score or ranking.
Long configurations also create longer share links. The tool rejects configurations beyond its supported encoded-link size rather than silently dropping entries. Test a copied link before distribution and confirm its entry count. If a custom thousand-entry list has lengthy labels, use a smaller public index or a more suitable sharing process. Do not put private record contents into an encoded URL.
Frequently asked questions
Is one thousand the current entry limit?
Yes. A larger generated range is rejected. This preset contains exactly one thousand integer labels.
Why might a custom thousand-entry share link be rejected?
Long labels can exceed the encoded-link limit. Reduce the configuration rather than assuming entries were omitted safely.
What is the chance of a result from 1 through 100?
One hundred of the thousand default labels qualify, giving ten percent.
Does the result identify a record automatically?
No. You supply and maintain the number-to-item mapping outside the wheel.
